Soulutions are a modern soul band from the North East of England.
The band was put together by Steve Lee and Louise Mehan in the early part of 2014 in order to show case their own material which they wrote over a seven year period.
Heavily influenced by Philly and modern soul their first release was the successful track Listen which was re-mixed by the Drizabone Soul Family.
Their first album ‘Destiny’ was released in 2016, this was followed by the singles ‘I Got To Party’ and ‘Thankful’ both of which went to number one in the UK Soul Chart, where their current single “Beat Of Your Heart” remix recently spent 2 weeks at number one also.
Liz and myself caught up them earlier this year at the Eagle Inn, Manchester and the wonderful sell out Late Summer Soul gig at JayDees Function Suite, Haydock, St Helens. Where we managed to get chat to both Louise and Steve. Not only are they very talented people, they are very nice people to boot. Also, a big shout out to the very talented band who where behind them the on the night. If they are ever in your neck of the woods, then it’s must you check them out.
